Sue Pritchard, Commercial Director of AV News, attended the PPDS Debuts Europe’s Largest dvLED Wall at Oracle Red Bull Racing installation event, showcasing the impressive new dvLED wall. The event featured expert speakers who discussed the challenges and solutions involved in the installation, with Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull Racing, emphasising the complexity of fitting the wall without needing to move any of the F1 cars.
The dvLED wall, measuring 46.25m wide with a resolution of 19,240 x 1,144, is the largest indoor installation of its kind in Europe. It now serves as a centrepiece in the immersive event space at Red Bull Racing’s MK-7 headquarters in Milton Keynes. Seeking a more dynamic and versatile audiovisual solution, Oracle Red Bull Racing partnered with PPDS to design the custom dvLED wall. At 46.25m by 2.75m, it complements the display of F1 cars, including those driven by three-time World Champion Max Verstappen.
PPDS collaborated with AV integration specialist Runtech Solutions and mounting experts Vogel’s to complete the project in just 23 days. The installation consists of 517 LED panels and an advanced content management system, offering superb visual clarity with a resolution of 19,240 x 1,144. The wall’s low power consumption and streamlined design support sustainability goals while reducing visual clutter.
The new dvLED wall was unveiled during the ‘Advancing dvLED’ event, where Christian Horner highlighted the transformative impact of the installation on the MK-7 event space.
