Lightware UK has officially opened the doors to its new London showroom and office, marking the occasion with a launch event that brought together partners, customers and AV industry professionals for a first-hand look at its latest innovations in signal management and AV-over-IP technology.
Designed as a dynamic, hands-on environment, the new facility reflects Lightware’s continued investment in the UK market and its commitment to supporting integrators and end users with practical, real-world demonstrations of its solutions.
Craig Storey, CEO of Lightware UK, highlighted the strategic importance of the new space:
“The new showroom gives us the perfect platform to demonstrate our industry-leading signal management solutions. This real-world environment allows us to showcase how our technologies can support a wide range of applications, from meeting rooms and control rooms to universities and live productions.”
A flexible, future-ready AV showroom
The London showroom has been purpose-built to deliver an accessible and adaptable experience, enabling visitors to explore Lightware’s technologies in practical scenarios. With a larger footprint than its previous office, the space offers enhanced flexibility for hosting training sessions, workshops and live demonstrations.
According to Siegfried Hermann, President of Lightware EMEA, the design plays a crucial role in its usability:
“The new location provides greater space and flexibility than our previous office. Its open-plan design allows us to host groups of all sizes and quickly adapt for different uses, making it a highly versatile and easy-to-use environment.”
This approach aligns with growing demand across the AV industry for experiential showrooms that go beyond static displays, allowing integrators to test workflows and see systems in action before deployment.
Showcasing next-generation AV solutions
At the heart of the launch event was a curated showcase of Lightware’s latest technologies, with several flagship solutions drawing significant attention.
Among them was the Taurus UCX, a universal matrix switcher designed to simplify meeting room connectivity. Supporting both HDMI and USB-C, the solution enables seamless content sharing, host switching and room control — helping eliminate common meeting room frustrations and ensuring faster, more reliable collaboration.
For larger-scale deployments, visitors explored the Taurus TPN, an SDVoE-based AV-over-IP platform engineered for high-performance environments. Delivering uncompressed video over 10G networks with near-zero latency, the system supports flexible routing across multiple endpoints — a key requirement for control rooms, broadcast environments and enterprise AV infrastructures.
Also featured was the Gemini GVN AV-over-IP product family, optimised for 1G networks. Designed with scalability and simplicity in mind, the platform offers centralized system management alongside built-in Dante audio support. The latest models further enhance usability by enabling media, data and up to 100W charging over a single USB-C connection — streamlining device integration and reducing cable complexity.
Strengthening hybrid collaboration ecosystems
A major focus of the showroom demonstrations was interoperability with leading video conferencing platforms, reflecting the continued evolution of hybrid working environments.
Integrations with Cisco were showcased, demonstrating enhanced connectivity and control for enterprise collaboration spaces. Meanwhile, compatibility with Google Meet — particularly via the Taurus UCX — highlighted how Lightware solutions can deliver uninterrupted meeting experiences within existing digital ecosystems.
These integrations are increasingly critical for systems integrators, who are under pressure to deliver reliable, user-friendly meeting spaces that work seamlessly across platforms.
Engagement beyond the technology
While the event centred on AV innovation, Lightware ensured the experience remained engaging and interactive. Guests were invited to take part in a racing simulator challenge, competing for the fastest lap time on a live leaderboard. The top performer was awarded two tickets to the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed — adding a competitive edge to the day’s proceedings.
This blend of technology and entertainment reflects a broader trend in AV events, where experiential engagement is used to deepen brand connections and create memorable interactions.
A strategic step for UK growth
The opening of the London showroom signals a significant step in Lightware’s regional expansion strategy, reinforcing its presence in one of Europe’s most active AV markets.
Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware, praised the team’s efforts:
“The UK team has done an outstanding job, and we’re proud to showcase our latest innovations here in London. This space reflects the work of our engineers in Budapest and allows us to better support our partners, grow our presence in the UK, and continue developing solutions that meet customer needs.”
Looking ahead
With the showroom now fully operational, Lightware UK plans to use the space as a hub for collaboration, education and innovation — welcoming partners, consultants and end users to explore its technologies in action.
As demand for flexible, high-performance AV solutions continues to grow, the new London facility positions Lightware at the forefront of delivering hands-on experiences that bridge the gap between concept and real-world deployment.
