    New education short-throws from ViewSonic

    ViewSonic has introduced the new short throw PJD6353, PJD6383 and PJD6683 to its projector line-up aimed at the the education market. The PJD 6 series projects a 90” widescreen image within 1 metres distance (90” for the PJD6683w) . “How to improve the projection quality, usage, and convenience of projectors has stood as key topics for discussion at ViewSonic. Our new PJD6 projectors have the best cost performance in the market, ” said Vincent Hsu, general manager of ViewSonic’s Projector Business Unit. “We observe and stimulate the teaching scenario, the interaction, and extent of involvement between speaker and audiences to further ensure our projectors can fully satisfy the development of knowledge with its innovative functions, such as the short show ability, network monitoring and management capability, the DynamicEco design saving mode to save up to 70% energy and enhancing the contrast ratio up to 8,000:1. With a high dynamic contrast and other considerable functions.” 

    The PJD6383, PJD6683w are XGA and WXGA native resolution models and both offer 3000 lumens of brightness suitable for medium and large classroom projection. The PJD6353 supports a XGA resolution and 2500 lumens which offers flexibility and can be used in small space. The PJD6 projectors are also equipped with “Dynamic PC” and “Dynamic Movie” modes which allow brilliant projections and automatically adjust to eliminate shadows obstructing the image or light shining in the classrooms. In addition, the PJD 6 comes with a presentation timer which assists teachers while projecting a countdown of the remaining time on the screen.

     Designed with the concept of remote teaching and learning in mind, the new PJD6 series has the AMX and Crestron Network support. With the embedded e-control, users can remotely monitor and control one projector. In addition, the network monitoring and management software that enable remotely manage up to 250 networked projectors through RJ45 connectivity. With real-time monitoring and control the PJD6 facilitates convenient scheduling of events and programmed e-mail alerts regarding projector status. Moreover, the PJD 6 series supports a wide range of  connectivity. The HDMI input interface supports connectivity between a computer and other video equipment that can project the multimedia, animation, video, images or music perfectly. The built-in 10 wattaudio also ensure the presentation or teaching can be clearly heard by each audience member.

    The PJD6353 (RRP £469/€599 excluding VAT), PJD6383 (RRP £499/€649 excluding VAT) and PJD6683w (RRP £549/€699 excluding VAT) will be available in Europe the beginning of June 2012.
