BenQ signs with Midwich after a long period of discussion.

After a number of exploratory discussions in recent years, Midwich has finally added the BenQ projector range to its portfolio. The deal will see Midwich supplying all models in the range, including the LX60ST projector with its BlueCore Laser light engine. BlueCore models offer a contrast ratio of 80000:1 and 20,000 hours of lamp life.

Midwich business manager Stuart Mizon said: “We are delighted to be working with BenQ and we look forward to a thriving and successful partnership. BenQ have an established reputation for bringing quality, innovative projectors to the market and their forward-thinking philosophy sits well with Midwich’s own ethos.”

Midwich AV Director, Darren Lewitt, commented: “We feel that the combination of BenQ’s product line up and their move towards a specialist channel positions them perfectly to fit into our portfolio and strategy.”  BenQ’s UK sales and marketing director Royce Lye commented on the appointment: “It’s an exciting opportunity with ideal timing for BenQ to be partnering with the UK’s leading AV distributor. Midwich’s position complements our aspirations for continuing the development of Europe’s second largest projector brand within the UK.”
