    Sapphire improves screen control

Sapphire is now incorporating a built in control system in its screens housed in a white external control box. This contains an easy, press-and-release, zero volt contact closure with very clear marking of the connectors. The big advantages, explains Richard Thomas, Managing Director of Sapphire AV Manufacturing, are:

    • Customers will not have to buy a separate product to relay the screen.
    • Integration is easy, with no need to remove the control box (avoiding the loss of the manual switching function and the remote control should anything go wrong with the control device).

Richard says that it will be possible to buy these boxes to use on other makes of screen. He said:  “We are about to launch a complete range of control systems, and as part of the evaluation we have ensured that our screens will interface with other control systems on the market. Because of the number of screens we stock it will take some time for the new system to be present on all stock items. However if you require the close contact system please make sure this is specified in the order to your distributor and the product will be supplied with the new style box.”
