Pexip will demonstrate the next version of the Infinity meeting platform at Enterprise Connect, which takes place from March 16-19, 2015 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida. The industry’s most comprehensive any-to-any meeting platform offers unparalleled scalability, interoperability, and flexibility addressing enterprise communications requirements.
At Enterprise Connect, Pexip extends the Infinity platform through a number of new benefits, including direct streaming capabilities to enterprise and public content delivery network (CDN) solutions such as Microsoft Azure, Adobe Media Server, Wowza, VBrick, YouTube, and many others. Any licensed version of Pexip Infinity can output a multimedia stream for consumption by CDN solutions, simply enabling streaming, recording, and playback with the next available release, scheduled for April 2015.

At the same time, Infinity users benefit from added instant messaging and chat across multiple platforms, seamlessly blending collaborators using compatible clients. Pexip’s solution simply enables virtual meeting room chats between traditional clients such as Lync and Skype, as well as browser-based clients. Infinity compatibility covers every major browser, including Internet Explorer and Apple Safari.
Furthering the platform’s reach and user friendliness is a range of enhancements to how conferences are experienced and managed. With updates to the Infinity Connect Suite and improved ease of use through its interfaces, Infinity adds multiple ways for managing in-progress conferences, including possibilities to open and lock conferences; add, invite, and remove participants; and much more.
Already industry-leading in interoperability — providing seamless integration between standards-based video systems, Microsoft Lync, Skype, Skype for Business, any WebRTC-supported browser, Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, as well as with a range of Pexip installable clients for every major operating system — the new features further enhance the user friendliness and simplicity of the platform.
Pexip Infinity is designed to radically enhance and simplify the user experience for face-to-face communications. For conferences that include any variety of clients and endpoints such as Microsoft Lync or Skype, traditional videoconferencing solutions, and simple Web browser-based video endpoints, the Infinity platform reinvents the way enterprises meet on any device. In addition, Pexip wipes out the need for substantial investments in a dedicated infrastructure. Purely software-based and virtualized, the platform uses existing on-premises and cloud infrastructure to deliver video, audio, and data collaboration — resulting in a visual communications solution that is incredibly easy to install, deploy, operate, and, most importantly: use.
“We are extremely enthusiastic to showcase so many new Infinity features at Enterprise Connect,” said Simen Teigre, Pexip’s CEO and Co-founder. “By adding industry-leading innovations such as direct streaming to enterprise and public CDN services such as Microsoft Azure and YouTube, our cross-platform IM and chat capabilities, and an updated suite of soft clients with lots of new functionality, the Infinity platform is now more comprehensive than ever. We look forward to meeting partners and customers at the show as it promises to be one of our most exciting events to date.”
