International AV integrator AVMI has acquired the UK-based Focus 21. AVMI says the deal will significantly enhance its capabilities to design, deliver and support a broad range of audio visual, collaboration technology and digital media solutions. The combined business reinforces AVMI’s market-leading position in the UK, while growing and accelerating its vision for becoming a major player in the global AV market.
Founded in 1998, Focus 21 is an award-winning (including winning an AV News award early this year for their installation with Bayer UK) engineering company specialising in the integration and servicing of audiovisual and video conferencing systems. It is widely regarded for its professional approach, technical knowledge and quality of service, representing a natural fit for AVMI.
The deal expands AVMI’s industry footprint and allows it to leverage its operating scale to ensure customers gain access to the latest technologies at the best possible prices.
It has been confirmed that the founders of Focus 21, Jim Harwood and Nigel Warrilow who started the company 20 years ago, will no longer be involved in the business. We wish them both the best of luck with future endeavors.
