    Ceiling projector mount improvements

Chief has introduced the all-in-one KITEC projector kits – now improved in the light of customer feedback. The kits come with everything needed for a projector installation – a security RSMEU Mini Elite mount, a choice of three adjustable-length columns and a ceiling plate for simple ordering to meet most projector mounting needs. Parts can also be ordered separately.

As with many Chief product solutions, customer feedback led to the development of this product line. In 2013, Chief debuted the projector mount series, created specifically for AV needs in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The models featured a pin-connection system more common in the regions, among other upgrades. Since then, Chief has gathered feedback from the field and used it to create new enhanced models:

“Our partners have been invaluable to the development process,” said Robert de Jong, Director of Product Marketing at Chief. “They shared what they liked about the new designs and what could be even better. This was essential to guiding design improvements to fit their needs.”

    New benefits include:

    • Added rigidity for an extra-strong install
    • Reinforced construction at the ceiling plate, telescoping joint and mount creates an ultra-stable installation and supports stationary image alignment.
    • Enhanced aesthetics

A new ceiling plate cover provides an aesthetic finish for fixed installations. For suspended ceiling applications, Chief now offers a decorative tile ring for a polished look. Additionally, a telescoping joint cover conceals cables with style.

    • Upgraded cable management

Expanded cable management provides ample room for power, audio, network and signal cables, and exterior placement allows for easy serviceability.

Integrated cable inlays allow for clean cable management and quick access when cables need to be serviced. The projector mounts retain all the Microzone adjustments that make projector registration fast and precise.

The column system and projector mounts are safety tested and TUV certified.
