Despite the Best efforts of the Queen and the RMT to frustrate our attendance on the first day of the NEC Display Solutions Showcase 2016, we persevered and we were glad that we endured the two-hour taxi ride from St Pancras and the altercation between the taxi driver and an overzealous policeman charged with keeping the roundabout at the end of Lambeth Bridge “clear of traffic” – some hope.
