    Crestron Integration Awards 2019

    Crestron’s 2019 Integration awards were announced at ISE to a packed audience on the Crestron stand as well as being lived stream by our sister company ‘My Show Guide‘. The awards which have been running for twelve years, highlight the technical excellence of Crestron integrators, consultants and programmers from both residential and commercial projects throughout EMEA.

    According to Petra Van Meeuwen, Technological Innovations Group (TIG) Media Relations Director, this year’s Crestron awards programme was the most successful so far with nearly 150 entries from 19 countries, featuring over 70 integrators.

    The awards are judged by Robin van Meeuwen, and CEO of TIG and a team of leading AV and design experts. The judging panel this year was made up of: Owen Ellis, chairman of the AV User Group; Rob Scott, founder/publisher of UC Today; Zoe Dare-Hall, a writer for the luxury property sector; Karen Stylianides, editor at Grand Designs magazine and Petra van Meeuwen.

    The winners of these prestigious awards are:

    Commercial

    Best Corporate Application: AVIDEX SA – Agemar SA, Greece

    AVIDEX SA clearly impressed the judges with the integration of Crestron technology to provide a reliable and robust infrastructure at the Agemar SA offices, including twenty meeting rooms, two crisis rooms, two training rooms, and a company board room.

    Best Educational Project: Visavvi – the University of the West of Scotland

    This ultra-modern upgrade at the University was praised for its innovative integration of Crestron DM NVX to enhance the learning experience for students.

    Ultimate Crestron Superyacht: Van Berge Henegouwen (VBH) – M/Y Lonian, The Netherlands

    The impressive 87m luxury superyacht impressed the judges with its extensive upgrade. The superyacht is equipped with a high-quality audio system that delivers an outstanding entertainment experience with an intelligent Crestron UI allowing staff to manage incoming requests.

     

    Best Application of DM NVX: LANGARD s.r.o. – National Museum, Prague

    LANGARD s.r.o. Impressed the judges because of its integration of a cutting-edge system that enhanced performance and ease of use. As the installation took place in a significant, historic building, it was important the upgrade was effective yet complementary to the Museum’s heritage.

     

    HIGHLY COMMENDED: FHT Team Kft. The Budapest Airport project, Hungary

     

    Most Unique Application: Triac – Nando’s, South Africa

    The integration of a standardised lighting scheme across 24 outlets, Triac has improved energy efficiency while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere which really impressed the judges.

    Best Hospitality Project: HENRI – Hotel Lutetia Paris, France

    This project put guest and staff satisfaction at the centre of this installation, the large project equipped 184 rooms with an automated Crestron solution to control lighting, blinds, temperate management, and in-room AV.

    Best User Experience: MK2 Audiovisueel BV – KLM International (ICA) Business Lounge, The Netherlands

    A clear winner according to the judges, MK2 Audiovisueel BV delivered a user-friendly and future-proof Crestron control solution to operate lighting, climate, audio and visual control at the touch of a button.

    HIGHLY COMMENDED: AVMI / Focus 21 for their install ‘The Well’ at Condé Nast International and CanCom for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions both UK projects.

     

    Residential

    Best Design Meets Technology: Environ – The Eco-Luxe Country Estate, UK

    Environ cleverly installed an intelligent system to improve connectivity for all generations living at this historical site while enhancing its environmental credentials, architecture, and beautiful interior.

    Ultimate Crestron Home (Residential): Clic2Control – Sydenhurst Home, UK

    This impressive Georgian Home showcases what Crestron is all about. Clic2Control have integrated a feature-rich Crestron solution throughout the property to control everything from lighting to the impressive home cinema.

    HIGHLY COMMENDED: Aesthetix Integrated Systems for the AL Khor VVIP Farm Villa, Qatar.

    Best Incorporation of Pyng: Imagine This – Clipper Wharf, UK

    The London Dock Clipper Wharf development hosts Europe’s largest installation of Crestron Pyng. The judges loved its ease and flexibility, Imagine This, integrated a control system in every apartment allowing the system to be instantly personalised to suit each occupant.

    HIGHLY COMMENDED: Casa Grande BVBA for their Fransoo Wouter project, Belgium

     

    Most Unique Application : G-ACTIV MEDeTic Technologies – Senior Living, France

     

    G-ACTIV MEDeTIC Technologies upgraded 122 apartments in this complex which houses seniors with an intelligent Crestron solution, allowing the care providers to monitor any sudden changes and to provide assistance if required.

    Best User Experience: Integrated Audio Visual Solutions – Penthouse of the future, UK

    Impressing the judges for optimising convenience and health, Audio Visual Solutions installed a selection of intelligent features to enhance wellbeing including invisible technology, intuitive one-touch automated routines, purified air systems, and circadian lighting.

    Best GUI: Ultamation Ltd – Lamina (graphic user interface)

    Rewarded for its ability to simplify technical processes, Lamina is installed in all Ultamation residential projects. The flexibility of this GUI allows for its use across a range of devices, with the ability to personalise settings to suit individual needs.

    Ultimate Multi-Dwelling Unit: SmartComm Ltd – Centre Point, UK

    The iconic Centre Point development in London hosts a range of luxury apartments. SmartComm ensured the apartments within this 34-story building included a state-of-the-art Crestron smart home system to complement the sleek and modern design.

    Best Lighting and Shading Application: ClearSphere – Hampstead Family Home, UK

    The Hampstead home boasts an intelligent Crestron lighting and shading system that wowed the judges. Winning functions include simulated occupancy to provide the homeowner with peace of mind at all times.
