The new Devolo dLAN 200 AV

Devolo announced last week that they had achieved a new record – the shipment of over 10 million dLAN adapters throughout Europe.

Since 2003 over 4 million HomePlug AV adapters have been sold, whilst devolo has shipped over 7.5 million dLAN adapters to European resellers and 2.5 million devices to OEM partners, highlighting the growth in home networking across Europe.

Heiko Harbers, CEO of devolo AG said: “Powerline combines the advantages of a wireless LAN with those of a fast, stable cable network.

“Breaking the record of 10 million adapters makes us extremely proud, but it also makes us want to work even harder on innovative powerline products and solutions.”

Heiko adds: “In the future, we will continue to provide networked home entertainment via dLAN which is both high-performing and reliable, whilst also continuing to focus on areas such as building automation and smart metering.”

The devolo dLAN 200 AV products include a variety of adapters for diverse applications, allowing consumers to network all Internet enabled devices to a fast and powerful home network. The latest devolo product is the dLAN 200 AV USB extender, which enables convenient integration of USB printers and hard drives into the network.
