Shaun Marklew has left Owl Visual and is replaced by Neil Colgate as general manager. Colgate is a 22 year AV industry, having most recently worked at Owl’s parent company Midwich as sales manager. Colgate is credited with dramatically increasing business in the leisure reseller market whilst also managing the pro-AV team, and was ultimately responsible for looking after some of the largest AV system integration companies in the UK.

Colgate said: “Doing all you can to understand your customers and your staff are key to success. If a customer feels that you really appreciate their business requirements and endeavour to meet those, they are more likely to buy from you. Likewise, you have to recognise that your members of staff have ambitions, and as a good manager it’s up to you to help them achieve their goals. With this in mind, I aim to help Owl Visual grow over the next few years to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service and to be recognised as the distributor of choice for resellers’ leisure and hospitality audiovisual requirements.”
There was no official statement from Midwich about the circumstances of Marklew’s departure other than to say that he has not been retained in any other capacity within the Midwich group.
