Motoring fans can experience the ‘World of Mercedes-Benz’ at its impressive brand experience centre through interactive challenges, simulator rides, enthralling exhibits and driving experiences with the latest models around the handling circuit.

    LG displays at Mercedes-Benz World.

To give its visitors the ultimate experience, Mercedes-Benz World wanted a complete audio-visual system fitted throughout the vast area. This included a 16-screen video wall made up of LG M4224 commercial displays, and fitting out its boardroom to bring a theatre style venue to visitors and customers.

Audio, video and communications installation firm Creative Systems and the LG team worked closely together to meet the specific requirements of Mercedes-Benz World – to provide clear and bright screens to display the various cars in action, installing the relevant monitors that would ensure the centre provides the best visual and sensual experience.

LG’s broad portfolio of display solutions offered a range of products to choose from. The M4224C was used to build a 16-screen video wall. To ensure seamless quality during the installation process, bespoke brackets and fittings were made by Creative Systems to create the video wall that would fit with the unique layout of the interactive zones. The end result has provided visitors with enhanced visual cues from the video wall and great viewing from all angles.

In total 81 LG displays were fitted throughout the building, connected to mini Mac computers and capable of showing individual content.

As part of the overall project, the existing systems within Mercedes-Benz World’s boardroom and theatre-style venue, the AMG suite was also updated. The suite provides clients and companies with a location for meetings and presentations, allowing users to set up telephone and high speed video conferences.

LG monitors were installed to compliment the contemporary and modern look of the suite. The monitors allow for seamless integration with the existing Mercedes-Benz control systems to ensure all screens utilise the same display images. In addition, advance connectivity is complemented by LG’s eZ-Net Manager software that allows control of the screens over a Local Area Network. With this assurance, Mercedes-Benz was able to maintain close control of all screens. The suite now boasts the only LG 120 inch display unit in use in the UK.
