Midwich Ignite has invested in IDUN Audio, a Danish company advancing spatial audio technology.. Based in Copenhagen, IDUN audio’s dynamic spatial audio software enables natural three-dimensional sound in headphones, improving speech intelligibility, reducing listener fatigue, and optimising performance across many listening situations. Whether listening to music, watching movies, or taking calls, IDUN’s technology ensures that users receive a spacious, more natural sound. This innovation is particularly valuable in professional AV settings, where sound quality is critical to effective communication and engagement.

With universal compatibility, headphones with IDUN’s software work effortlessly across all playback devices including iPhone, Android, PC, Mac, TVs, and gaming consoles. Through IDUN’s relationship with renowned industry-standard audio chipsets, manufacturers can now easily integrate IDUN’s spatial audio software into their hardware. Will Fenby, Investment Manager at Midwich Ignite, said: “We are delighted to be investing in IDUN audio, whose patented technology represents the next major revolution in audio. With IDUN’s decades of research-led spatial audio development, and Midwich’s global leadership position in professional audio, we believe this partnership is perfectly positioned to drive innovation and adoption of this unique technology. We look forward to working with the IDUN audio team on the next stage of their growth.” Pauli Minnaar, CEO of IDUN audio, added: “Partnering with Midwich Ignite marks an exciting milestone for IDUN audio. Their deep expertise in professional AV, combined with their extensive industry network, makes them the ideal partner to help scale our technology and bring it to a global audience. We are excited about what the future holds and look forward to working together to redefine the audio experience.” This strategic investment underscores Midwich Ignite’s dedication to fostering innovation within the AV industry by supporting companies, like IDUN audio, that are shaping the future of audio technology.
