Instant productivity: office professionals can link their notebook to MMD’s new 23-inch display with one single USB cable and access all connected devices.

MMD, brand license partner for Philips Monitors, claims it can set an end to ‘’desktop clutter’’ with its new 231P4UPES 23-inch USB docking display. Users plug their notebook into the display with one single USB cable, and expand their workplace with access to all the devices connected to the display.

From travelling executives to flexible team workers, the 231P4UPES docking display is designed for professionals on the move. With three ports (two USB 3.0 to ramp up data transfer speed, and one USB 2.0), the display provides access to all connected devices like printers, external drives, camera or mouse. Besides hooking up hardware devices, the USB 3.0 cable also transmits video and network signals, and connects directly to the Internet or intranet via the integrated Ethernet port.

“We’re excited about the new notebook docking display,” says Thomas Schade, MMD Vice President Europe. “Today’s professionals are people who can be productive anywhere. Wherever they go, their notebook goes too! And the prospect of dealing with a mess of cabling every time they plug in at the office is less than appealing. The new display enables users to hook up right away – with one-step access to an entire landscape of IT peripherals – and be instantly more productive.”

The new display is designed to reduce power consumption. It’s also equipped with PowerSensor technology, which automatically dims the display the moment the user moves away – ensuring the display takes a break when the user does. MMD claims this feature alone can deliver energy savings of up to 80 %, while the 0 W power switch ensures zero energy is used when the display is off.
