    New Philips 5-year education warranty

Ensuring a consistent and optimum performance in the classroom is one of the key requirements educators have of technology for the classroom. That’s what PPDS found in their research while designing the Philips T-Line and that’s why they’re backing the new product with a free five year de re warranty – a two-year extension on their standard warranty offering.

Exclusive to the education market, the extended de re warranty from PPDS has been built based on feedback from educators and from AV and IT managers working with some of EMEA’s leading schools, colleges and universities and has been hailed the most comprehensive offering of its kind available anywhere in the current market.

Covering the full range of BDL3552T/00 T-Line interactive solutions from PPDS, the de re warranty is activated immediately out of the box, eliminating the timely and easily forgettable product registration processes that continue to be used by other brands.

What’s more, in the unlikely event that a fault occurs with the product that cannot be fixed remotely, the PPDS de re warranty means a dedicated PPDS qualified engineer will be sent out directly to where it’s installed, removing the faulty unit and reinstalling a replacement, including all cabling, recommissioning and testing, if required. All within 48 hours of fault reports made before midday or 72 hours for faults reported after midday.

Harold Niericker, Product Management Strategist for Signage at PPDS, commented: “At PPDS our aim is to make the lives of our customers easier and, wherever possible, remove some of the archaic formalities and processes that are simply not necessary in today’s fast-paced world. The extension of our warranty for the education arena is a perfect illustration of us listening to the market and taking away some of the common frustrations.”

Niericker adds: “From the moment of delivery, the warranty starts. There is no need for any lengthy calls, form filling or filing, and if something does happen to go wrong with the product that isn’t a result of misuse, customers have the peace of mind knowing that we will come and deal with it directly ourselves – onsite and armed ready with a replacement. The days of incurring costly call out fees or long delays are over. A blank display is of no use to anyone.”
