Midwich has announced new signings to its Pro Audio and Home Divisions. The distributor has signed a sub-distribution agreement with Italian manufacturer RCF, plus distribution agreements with Erard and Marmitek.

RCF was formed in 1949 and has grown to become one of the most famous names in the professional speaker market, producing a substantial number of new high-technology professional and commercial audio products each year.

The product families available through Midwich are commercial audio, installed sound, and portable performance speakers. Respectively, these provide a complete range of public address products and systems to meet every audio need, professional speaker systems and amplifiers for installation in clubs, stadia, sport domes, pubs and congress centres, and speakers ideal for musicians and other performers who need quality along with mobility.

Lee Baker, business manager at Midwich commented: ‘We get approached by a lot of potential vendors. However, the reputation RCF has in the market and the quality of its products and range meant we had to establish a partnership with the firm. RCF has the same goals as we do – to provide fantastic audio products that allow our dealers to make great margins. ”

Phil Price, UK director of installed sound sales at RCF commented: ‘We are delighted to welcome Midwich to our specialist UK network of regional sub-distributors. Our policy of improving our brand awareness in horizontal markets will be extremely enhanced, especially in the increasing audiovisual market sector.’

In asecond announcement. MidwichHome has added the Erard mounts brand to its portfolio. The French manufacturer is said to put a strong emphasis on aesthetics featuring anodised aluminium and providing a facility to conceal cables within the unit. The range also includes models that feature an anti-theft device increasing the possibilities for use in terms of environment.

Kane Barker, product manager at MidwichHome commented: ‘As a well-established and innovative firm, Erard is the sort of organisation that MidwichHome is always proud to partner with. Comprising more than thirty different styles of mount, the Erard range is already proving a huge hit with our retail customers and this is hardly surprising given the quality of the products.”

Also new to MidwichHome is Dutch vendor Marmitek, responsible for a range of solutions in AV, security, and automation for the home. Based in Eindhoven, Marmitek aims to improve comfort, relaxation, and security through intelligent innovations for in and around the home.

Marmitek’s AV at home solutions allow users to operate their AV equipment even when it is hidden from sight, watch video content wherever there is a screen or projector without the need to make a physical connection to the decoder or DVD player, and enjoy music wirelessly where the laying of sound cables is not convenient.
