Tateside, having worked with Long Harbour on previous projects, took on their largest collaboration yet, delivering AV systems for The Sessile in Tottenham and Riverstone Heights in Bromley-by-Bow. “We’ve worked with the Long Harbour group on and off for several years,” says Joby Morris, Project Manager at Tateside. “This was our first time working on a project of this scale with the client.”

The team designed and installed AV systems across both developments, ensuring a consistent user experience. “Whilst each development is different in form and requirement, we needed to provide the same user experience,” Morris explains.

Both developments feature Martin Audio’s CDD series loudspeakers and Bose amplification, with a custom app for system control. “The scale of the project posed logistical challenges,” Morris adds. “We coordinated with dozens of stakeholders and contractors, ensuring that different floors and spaces opened on schedule.”

Jack Cornish, Technical Director at Tateside, highlights their rooftop solutions: “We deployed Episode Terrain weatherproof loudspeakers in planters, allowing us to integrate good audio without cluttering the terraces with tech.”

Reflecting on the outcome, Morris concludes: “From the reception areas to the rooftops, our involvement in the Long Harbour project allowed us to showcase Tateside’s wide array of technical specialisms. Both ourselves and the client are pleased with the end result.”

The Sessile, the larger of the two projects, required more extensive AV solutions. “Background audio was needed throughout the 10-storey building, as well as systems for spaces like the rooftop Orangery, a gym, yoga studio, and meeting room,” says Morris. The gym features a high-performance audio system with Martin Audio CDD6 loudspeakers and SX210 subwoofers, while the yoga studio goes further with an Epson projection system, allowing users to share custom visuals. “Audio in this space is from Bose, designed to enhance the ambience,” he adds.

Both developments now offer premium AV experiences, with Tateside’s careful planning ensuring high-end technology that meets the demands of modern co-living spaces.
