With InfoComm forecasting cumulative market growth of 72% over the next 2 years, and the KLiKav portal serving details of almost a million products to end-user enquirers, there is a latent body of demand for AV technology that is unlikely to be satisfied by existing provision. At the high-end, systems integrators are already reporting that they are much as 20% over capacity, and recruitment consultant AV Jobs has expressed concerns over a continuing shortage of skilled AV technicians and engineers.
European Director of TD Maverick believes that a solution to these issues, in the current industry hotspots of meeting room solutions and digital signage, is to broaden the channel for these technologies. He plans to encourage resellers that might not have previously considered selling and installing these solutions, by supplying pre-integrated bundles. These not only include hardware and software, but also training, support and even marketing materials.
