LG Business Solutions and Odeon Multicines opens six new cinema screens with LG Miraclass LED technology in the Gran Plaza 2 Shopping Center in Majadahonda, Spain. This marks the first 100% LED-equipped and Dolby Atmos-ready complex, representing a shift in the concept of the cinema experience.

Replacing the ‘traditional cinema’, this LED solution boasts a cinema display that integrates over eight million pixels with a 2.5mm pitch and DCI P3 color accuracy, capable of showcasing a staggering 68,700 million different colors. Furthermore, as a self-luminescent pixel technology, this innovative solution brings viewers closer to the cinematic experience envisioned by directors.

These next-generation cinema screens feature ten times the brightness and over eight million self-luminescent pixels, providing richer blacks and infinite contrasts. To enhance the spectator experience, they are equipped with ultra-immersive Dolby Atmos sound and LG climate solutions, Multi V, ensuring maximum comfort. These versatile screens support both 2D and 3D movies, with brightness adjustable from 48 to 300 nits—nearly ten times higher than traditional cinema projection systems.

The venue includes three 55m2 screens featuring LG Miraclass 4K LED quality, offering an unparalleled cinema experience with seating capacities ranging from 60 to 120. Additionally, other screens in the venue accommodate up to 40 people with a screen area of 14m2.

All screening rooms feature Dolby Atmos sound capabilities, offering total immersion. The best sound accompanies the best image, filling the cinema with dazzling clarity, intensity, detail and depth.

Guest experience is further enhanced by comprehensive air conditioning in all screening rooms, using LG Business Solutions’ Multi V solution with air handling units and direct expansion batteries. This equipment allows easy control of air comfort conditions, measuring temperature, humidity, and air quality to maintain optimal conditions for moviegoers. LG Multi V also delivers performances 40% higher than traditional rooftop equipment, contributing to a significant reduction in energy consumption associated with air conditioning in large spaces.
