New York-based digital out-of-home (DOOH) consultancy Tiger Party has completed its first signage project in Asia, the Taipei Lumitree, located near the iconic Taipei 101. Developed in partnership with Kaiyue Construction and operated by Tiger Party, the installation has been shortlisted for the Digital Signage Awards 2025 in the Immersive & Experiential Environment category.
Spanning 254 square meters, Taipei Lumitree features a 360-degree LED tree and a 10-meter-high LED wall. The installation uses advanced P2.9 LED technology and transparent panels with a transparency rate of over 75%. Designed to deliver an immersive experience akin to New York’s Times Square, Taipei Lumitree enables audiences to engage directly with its dynamic environment of light and sound.
Steven Lin, Chairman of Kaiyue Construction, commented, “Taipei Lumitree is a groundbreaking project that transforms urban spaces and offers a platform for creative engagement. Events like Nuit Blanche Taipei 24’ have shown how this venue can enhance the cityscape and bring new experiences to the public.”
Rafale Chang, CEO of Tiger Party, added, “We’re excited to bring the innovative technology and commercial model of Times Square to Taiwan. Partnering with Taiwan’s exceptional creative talent, we aim to create a visual spectacle that will energise Taipei and attract global attention.”
As part of its commitment to supporting emerging talent, Tiger Party has partnered with HUG, a global community of artists founded by Randi Zuckerberg and Debbie Soon. To celebrate the grand opening of Taipei Lumitree, 12 up-and-coming artists from around the world were featured, marking the venue as a new platform for global artistic expression.
Randi Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO of HUG, said, “From the beginning, HUG has sought to democratise opportunities for early-career artists. Collaborating with Tiger Party to bring new art and artists to a cultural hub like Taipei is an exciting step in empowering the next generation of creatives.”
