Igloo Vision has introduced Igloo Core Engine 2.0, an update to its immersive software platform, available from 16 April 2024. The new version is designed to make immersive spaces quicker to deploy, easier to manage, and more powerful to operate.
Originally launched in 2023, the Igloo Core Engine combined more than 15 years of the company’s experience in immersive and visualisation technology into a single software platform. It has since received multiple industry awards, including recognition as Software of the Year, Best Collaboration Tool, and Best Display Technology.
The software is currently used by organisations such as EY, Deloitte, Microsoft, Nike, BP, AtkinsRéalis, Capgemini, T‑Mobile, and Haleon, as well as a number of universities and colleges. Applications include collaboration, training, visualisation, and decision‑making across sectors from corporate learning to infrastructure design.
According to the company, version 2.0 enhances the platform’s performance and flexibility with a revised user interface, AI‑driven content tools, and direct 3D model support. Updates include new light and dark modes, refreshed colour schemes, improved layout design, and real‑time system insights to help users monitor content performance.
A redesigned Control Panel and Launchpad system allow faster access to common features, while cross‑device compatibility enables control from laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The inclusion of a new 3D Model Layer supports the viewing and analysis of 3D assets within immersive spaces. Integrated AI tools link with platforms from OpenAI, Google, and Blockade Labs to assist with content creation.
