InFocus’ 55” BigTouch combines functions of tablets and a PC.

With a 55” touch panel, built-in Intel i5 processor and running Windows 8 Pro, InFocus’ BigTouch combines functions of a tablet and the productivity of a PC.

The full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) multi-touch display comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse to control the display from a distance. It has built-in dual band 802.11n WiFi and two 10/1000 gigabit Ethernet ports to connect to a network and the web and connections for mobile devices, including 6 USB ports, 2 HDMI ports, RS232.

The multi touch display supports typical tablet touch gestures such as tap, slide, swipe, pinch and rotate. This enables BigTouch to be suitable for use in public areas like for example interactive information points in hotels or museums.

“BigTouch is the ideal solution for the Large Format Display (LFD) market. Each display has a built-in touch panel and an integrated Windows 8 PC, which make the BigTouch a price competitive all-in-one solution,” says Michael Kuehn, General Manager InFocus EMEA. “Screens formats as large as 70 or 80 inches are planned and will follow soon.”
