SAEMES (Société Anonyme d’Economie Mixte d’Exploitation du Stationnement, a semi-public parking system operator for the City of Paris) runsmore than 90 car parks in the city area of Paris. Over 4 million visitors use the parking each year. For the central surveillance and the management of the car parks SAEMES has installed a new control room.
The signals of the CCTV cameras are displayed in a central control room. The control room staff also answers service-requests and emergency calls from the clients in the car parks. No human presence in the car parks is necessary. Eyevis has installed a 7 square metre video wall, consisting of twelve 46’’-displays (EYE-LCD-4600-M-USN-LD). The incoming signals are controlled with a netPIX 4800 graphics controller and the eyeCON wall management software.
The goal of the new control room was to increase the surveillance of the car parks and thus to increase the safety for the parked cars. The control room operates around the clock. More than 3,000 service-requests and emergency calls are answered each week. With full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 Px), direct LED backlighting and minimalbezel between neighbouring displays the solution offers homogeneous picture quality along the entire video wall.
