Marquee AV recently completed the installation of an audio system at the newly opened Bocconcino restaurant in Soho. This establishment brings the flavours of northern Tuscany to London, specialising in wood-fired pizza and homemade pasta. The restaurant’s ambience blends classic Italian charm with Soho’s vibrant spirit. Marquee AV designed an audio system to complement this atmosphere, particularly focusing on enhancing the restaurant’s opulent theme. The ground floor, which hosts live resident DJs every Friday and Saturday night, as well as Saturday Brunch, now features high-quality sound, setting the tone for weekend gatherings.
Recognising the need for aesthetic harmony, Marquee AV’s project manager, chose Bose Professional for their proven diversity in speaker design. The installation features Bose Professional wall-mounted DM5SE speakers throughout the restaurant, chosen for the performance and streamlined design to blend seamlessly with the decor.
The EdgeMax speakers, with PhaseGuide technology, were strategically placed to project audio toward the rear of the restaurant, ensuring consistent coverage and sound quality. Further elevating the quality and coverage of the sound, Marquee AV installed Bose Professional FreeSpace Acoustimass bass modules in the ceiling and under the benches. Marquee AV’s dedication to detail is evident in the custom spray-painted terracotta speakers and subwoofers, to match the interior, and preserve the restaurant’s distinct aesthetic.
Marquee AV shares, “From the outset, Bose Professional was the obvious choice to help us achieve the level of design and performance demanded by this luxury development. As we delved deeper into the project, the variety and design of Bose Professional’s speaker selection proved invaluable in navigating the property’s unique infrastructure challenges. Utilising a combination of Design, FreeSpace, and EdgeMax speaker technologies, we were able to offer a discreet yet powerful solution that maintained the integrity of our original performance design.”
