    Merging Technologies announces Ovation 12

Merging Technologies has announced the forthcoming release of Ovation 12, the latest iteration of its established audio playout and show control platform, scheduled for availability on April 30, 2026.

Positioned as a significant update, Ovation 12 introduces native video playback, marking a notable expansion beyond the platform’s traditional audio-centric workflow. Video content can now be incorporated directly into playlists and triggered as cues, even during live operation. The system supports up to four simultaneous video streams via standard graphics hardware, with tools for trimming and alignment either within Ovation or via Pyramix.

Synchronization capabilities have also been extended. The software now enables the generation of multiple independent LTC outputs, allowing operators to drive several external systems—such as lighting, automation, and effects—each with discrete timecode. Routing flexibility and configurable display options are designed to support complex, multi-system environments.

Further integration with Pyramix introduces bidirectional automation exchange, enabling users to refine show data during rehearsals and re-import it without loss of detail. According to the company, this development is intended to streamline workflows and reduce iteration time in production settings.

In addition, Ovation 12 expands its I/O capacity in Native mode across its product tiers, while maintaining compatibility with high channel-count configurations when deployed with MassCore.

Merging Technologies states that the update builds on Ovation’s established reputation for low-latency performance and operational reliability, while extending its capabilities to meet evolving audiovisual production requirements.

Ovation 12 will be available from April 30, 2026.
