ST Engineering Antycip (Antycip) has announced major updates to its in-house image generator, MyIG, opening new possibilities in the virtual reality (VR) space while retaining its core role in simulation. The latest developments make MyIG a lightweight yet versatile integration platform for immersive projects, adding:

    • CAD and 3D model import – MyIG now supports FBX alongside all OSG-compatible formats such as OpenFlight, OBJ and 3DS. This means customers canbring models directly from popular design tools like Blender or Maya into a collaborative VR environment.
    • Real-time tracking integration–MyIG dynamically updates perspectives in real time with no noticeable latency or performance impact, enabling natural design review and interactive training use cases.
    • VIOSO compatibility–In addition to Scalable support, MyIG can now read VIOSO calibration data, streamlining multi-projector setups and ensuring seamless alignment in complex display environments.

These new capabilities were recently showcased at a customer site with a configuration combining Barco I600 projectors, OptiTrack tracking and VIOSO calibration. The installation enables stereoscopic visualization of 3D models on large-scale collaborative displays, allowing teams to walk around designs, inspect details and share insights together without the isolation of headsets. “With these developments, MyIG confirms its dual role,” added Riccardo Rovelli, VP of Innovation & Technology, Division Director Italy & DACH at Antycip. “It remains a trusted image generator for advanced simulation, while also giving our customers a bridge into VR and Mixed Reality. By combining software, hardware and integration expertise, we can now deliver truly turnkey solutions that meet the evolving needs of research, training and design.”

Being able to move around a model, examine details and collaborate in real time brings clear advantages for design review and interactive training. With support for CAD imports, integration with professional tracking systems, the ability to read calibration data from multiple platforms, and direct connectivity with Unity for mixed reality applications, MyIG combines lightweight deployment with a high level of adaptability, making it well suited to a wide range of immersive projects.

This evolution reflects Antycip’s vision of extending proven

simulation technologies into more open, collaborative and immersive environments, while maintaining the performance, stability and integration depth required for professional and mission-critical applications. ST Engineering Antycip specialises in providing cutting-edge immersive simulation and virtual reality solutions toa diverse range of industries, including aerospace, defence, automotive, and academia. With a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, Antycip is dedicated to empowering organisations with transformative technologies that drive success.
