NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced a series of 55- and 65-inch Ultra High Definition (UHD) displays that feature advanced filtering techniques. The company says that the development ensures a consistent and responsive multi-touch experience.

Daniela Dexheimer, Product Manager Solutions at NEC Display Solutions Europe explains: “Many industries are exploring ways to improve collaboration, looking to touch technology to improve group working and productivity. By adding InGlass touch technology to our 55- and 65-inch XUHD touch table displays, we are able to meet these objectives, offering touch capabilities that are intuitive, accurate and easy to use.”
The new MultiSync X551UHD and X651UHD-2 InGlass touch displays are said to be ideal for industries where applications are used for creating, sharing and collaborating, such as entertainment, creative media, interactive gaming, education and corporate.
Businesses can use the touch displays to save time, working more efficiently while meeting the collaborative and productivity requirements that these industries demand. Integrated with InGlass touch technology, the displays are described as “setting new standards” for touch performance, creating a completely bezel-free, error-free, flat and durable touch surface.

The touch table concept forms a responsive and effective interface with the XUHD display offering true multi-touch performance for simultaneous users. The InGlassTM touch supports up to 10 finger, pen or glove touch points.
The XUHD touch displays are described as easy to use and ‘plug and play’, with no need for driver installations for all major operating systems. The touch-tables can be enhanced with the optional “Windows based” slot-in-PC using the integrated OPS option slot.
Thanks to the IP rated and waterproof surface, the touch table displays are durable, cleanable and are ideal for public spaces. The 65-inch is available now and the 55-inch will be available in September 2016.
