GestureTek has announced the launch of the next generation (v5) of their CUBE technology – a turnkey, portable, plug-and-play interactive projection display system for retail engagement, advertising, exhibits, entertainment and touring promotions. GestureTek is a pioneer of multiple forms of camera-enabled gesture recognition technology for interactive display, presentation and entertainment systems, covered by over 40 patents worldwide.
With the CUBE v5, GestureTek says it’s easier than ever to project interactive content onto any surface – including floors, walls, tables and counter tops.
The CUBE v5 integrates new display capabilities of scaling from 100″ to 130″ and beyond diagonally. It not only provides a far larger projection image, that is more powerful and brighter than before, but it has gone from a 1,000:1 to a 10,000:1 contrast ratio to provide vastly more crisp and vivid images.
The new design is also more compact measuring 19″ x 12″ x 28″. The CUBE v5 supports any combination of interactive images, sounds, videos and animations, with a native screen resolution of 1280 x 800. The system comes with over 75 eye-catching special effects environments and games, which can be controlled with simple hand, foot and body gestures.
This durable unit features extra-heavy-duty clamps, custom panels for instant filter replacement and an automatic turn on and shut off system, providing convenience and protection. With the CUBE v5, GestureTek says it’s easier than ever to project interactive content onto any surface – including floors, walls, tables and counter tops.
The CUBE v5 control panel is described as ‘sophisticated and simple to use’, enabling users to customise or create their own applications and special effects. “It’s as simple as dropping image files from one folder into another.” The CUBE also has the ability to be linked to a server, making it possible to deliver content and retrieve user metrics and system information remotely.
Despite all these upgrades Gesturetek is able to deliver the system at a much lower cost.
