Panasonic System Networks Europe (PSNE) and Westcoast have announced a new partnership to promote the Panasonic range of interactive whiteboards (IWBs). Peter Dempsey, areas sales manager for Dublin commented; “The world of business systems is converging and with our latest whiteboard solution offering the best benefits available in the market, there is no better time for us to announce our partnership.”
Westcoast was established in 1984 and since then has grown its operations to become a leading national wholesale distributor of Panasonic products in the UK and Ireland. With a “decisive approach” to both product range and customer account management, Westcoast is said to share many of the philosophies of Panasonic.
The full range of Panasonic products Westcoast provide will include; IWBs, document solutions and HDVC high definition visual communication systems.
Westcoast says its “sustained dedication to serving these important areas of the business technology market has meant the company has experienced continuous growth”. Westcoast will not only supply the whole range of interactive Panaboards along with asssociated software solutions but, will also provide customisable mounting systems enabling end users to benefit from the greatest possible ease of use and accessibility.
David Daniels, AV Sales Manager at Westcoast stated; “The announcement marks a significant change to our partnership with Panasonic who are one of our key vendors at Westcoast. It reinforces the strong synergies in what we are mutually looking to achieve across both of our businesses. We are excited about adding to our portfolio of products and the partnership also gives us and the reseller complete product solutions from one vendor.”
Panasonic first announced a new range of capacitive touch sensitive whiteboards in 2009 with the launch of flagship Panaboard UB-T880. At the time the new multitouch Panaboards were described by users as ‘one of the greatest developments in IWB technology since the introduction of the first interactive whiteboards in the early 90’s’. The UB-T880 can be controlled by up to three users simultaneously and is supplied along with a suite of software packages making them suitable for commercial applications ranging from training, education and control centres to many other commercial applications.
This is said to be an exciting time for Panasonic and Westcoast as the possibility of expansion beyond the now matured education market sector becomes a reality with the combined customer support and distribution power of both organisations.
