Savant Systems Europe opened its doors for business with a launch to partners and press at the Millennium Hotel Gloucester Road last month. Savant Systems Europe is a wholly owned subsidiary of distributor RGB Communications, and will handle sales and support for the Savant product range across Europe (with the exception of France).
The 12-strong Savant Europe team will be based in separate premises to RGB but will share some key members of staff including Carline Britt, MD, and Andy Attwell, European Sales Director. UK sales director Neil Howes will also be involved with Savant Sales Europe.
Savant Systems has developed its control solutions around standards-based hardware platforms which can be modified as new devices and protocols enter the market. The user interface can also evolve organically, with new apps developed as necessary. Savant’s USP is that all of these changes can be made with without custom programming, allowing resellers and integrators to make more sales and install more systems without a resulting increase in overheads.
J.C Murphy, executive vice president of sales at Savant Systems, said: “Partnering with RGB gives us the perfect platform to expand into Europe and truly offer the kind of sales, technical and training support that our European dealers require to grow.” Savant Systems are recruiting resellers directly, throughout Europe, through an authorised dealer programme which has both technical requirements and a minimal level of investment in demonstration kit.
