Steljes has announced that it has set up the Specialist Products Division to complement its existing product portfolio and capitalise on the lucrative Pro AV market place. The Specialist Products Division will focus on the full range of core AV connectivity solutions such as signal conversion products, switching and distribution solutions as well as specialist products including integrating cloud based digital signage with social media networks and custom built solutions for video walls for retail and command and control environments.

Three new appointments have been made to ensure the division has the skills and expertise to help Steljes resellers capitalise on this lucrative market place. Stuart Humphries will head up the division as commercial manager, responsible for strategy and growth. He joins Steljes from Magenta Research and has extensive experience in this market place. Reporting to Stuart are two AV business managers – Mike Fry who will be responsible for the technical aspects of the products and joins Steljes from MicroP and Jin Khangura who also joins Steljes from Micro P and will be responsible for working with the Steljes sales teams to drive adoption of these new products.

Stuart comments “I am really excited about this opportunity. This is a market I know we can dominate. Steljes is well known for selling the “front end” of a solution such as the SMART Board, projectors and Large Format Displays. Now with the newly formed specialist products division we will be providing our reseller partners with the sales support, technical expertise and products that will enable them to offer the complete solution to our resellers, helping them increase their “share of wallet” with their end customers.”

The division has already signed up nine new vendors including a number of exclusive agreements. The vendors include:

    • EyeVis –specialists in high quality video wall display and processor solutions
    • SubTV  – manufacturers of cloud-based, turnkey, digital signage solutions
    • Smart-E – specialists in AV switching and distribution solutions over CAT cable
    • IKON AVS – manufacturers AV control and Input connectivity products

Ian Goodhind, Commercial Director, comments “Steljes is always looking at how we can add value to our resellers by exploring new markets and opportunities. We realised that we had a gap in our portfolio and establishing the Specialist Product Division is a key component in filling that gap. Steljes started as an AV distributor and this is a natural extension to our portfolio. You could say that the Pro AV market is in our DNA. We are offering our resellers an extensive portfolio of highly differentiated, best of breed AV products that will not only complement our existing AV portfolio but will also enable them to make excellent margins on this range. I am delighted that we have Stuart, Mike and Jin on board. Their experience and proven track record in this market place will be a main driving force in helping our resellers realise the opportunities that this market has to offer.”
