Visimi Digital Revitalises Bilston Town Centre with Outdoor Digital Signage Project

To facilitate the safe reopening of Bilston town centre, and revitalise the shopping experience, Visimi Digital has installed two of its 55” Ultra High Bright Outdoor Displays on behalf of Wolverhampton council. Integral to the council’s “Leaving Lockdown” strategy, the portrait displays have been strategically placed in two high footfall on the high street, where they will be used to keep visitors, shoppers and traders informed about the latest Covid government guidelines. As part of a larger project to breathe new life into the town centre, the displays will also advertise live events in and around the town.

Key to re-establishing the high street as the heart and hub of the community, the displays will offer a faster and more efficient way to broadcast information, particularly for time-sensitive notifications about any changing Covid-19 regulations. With Visimi’s complementary, remote controlled digital signage software, they provide a user-friendly plug and play solution, enabling users to create, upload and deploy content securely at the click of a button, and from any location.

“We’re delighted to be a part of this project”, said Jonathan Hardy, Digital Sales and Marketing Director, Visimi Digital. “This installation highlights the value of outdoor digital signage, not just in the short-term, to help re-open towns, and assist them through the transitional post-lockdown period, but also, for the future, to boost local economies. With just one or two outdoor displays, local high streets can cost-effectively offer the big-reach broadcasting power that is required to promote businesses, engage the public and bring communities back together.”

Designed to drive more engagement, the displays deliver content in ultra-sharp 1080p high-definition resolution, and ensure legibility in even direct sunlight, thanks to their high brightness feature. Their ultra-slim totem design and narrow bezel also mean they can offer wider, more inclusive viewing angles to catch the attention of more passers-by.

A robust, low maintenance solution for unsupervised public environments, the weather-resistant outdoor displays provide dependable 24/7 operation, and with toughened, tamper-proof glass and locking systems for security, they also offer vandal-proof support.
