Kevin Batley to keynote 2019 Awards
Kevin Batley Founder and Managing Director of the Sahara Presentations Group PLC, Sahara AV Distribution, Clevertouch Interactive Panels and Sedao Digital Signage, will present the 2019 AV News Awards Keynote Address. “As Managing Director, my business life has focused around Sahara and has dominated my thinking for 30 years. The Sahara Presentations Group today is recognised as one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of AV technology around the globe.”
Kevin Batley’s career started in the analogue days of AV and embraced almost all of the ‘hot’ technologies to emerge in the digital era. His innovations include dedicated education projectors, coloured orange to overcome the rash of projector thefts from schools. Kevin’s Sahara also developed a range of affordable Interactive While Boards to meet the demand stimulated by government’s whiteboard initiative.
Then, in 2008, Kevin introduced the first touchscreen designed for education use at BETT. The Clevertouch range of education and corporate touchscreens developed from this pioneering model – arguably Kevin’s most successful entrepreneurial venture to date. Recently, the Sahara arm of the business has been focused on third-party distribution, while Clevertouch is now a global touchscreen brand, successfully launched into US market at InfoComm.
