Bobby Gintz, Director of Applications Engineering, AMP: “I find the process of learning about our customers’ applications and working with their engineering teams to facilitating the realization of these very rewarding.’’

In response to growing demand for its embedded video solutions, Advanced Micro Peripherals (AMP) appoints Bobby Gintz as its US based Director of Applications Engineering.

Gintz has over 30 years’ experience in engineering and marketing to both commercial and military markets. Prior to joining AMP, he was Engineering Director for Northrop Grumman’s robotic subsidiary, Remotec, leading the development of UGVs employed by virtually all Civilian and Military Bomb Squads.

He has also served as Director of Product Development for IPIX where he was responsible for bringing 360 degree IP cameras to market.  Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Development for Equinox Systems Inc. where he led engineering and marketing for the company.

His academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University, Masters in Computer Science from Columbia University and Masters in Business Administration (Marketing and Project Management) from Florida International University.

About his new role Gintz said:  “I find the process of learning about our customers’ applications and working with their engineering teams to facilitating the realization of these very rewarding. I am excited about helping AMP expand its technical footprint, product offerings and presence in the US and neighbouring regions.”

Lee Foss, AMPs Founder and CEO, said: “I am delighted to welcome Bobby to our team.  We are experiencing explosive growth for our Ultra Low Latency High Definition compression, capture and recording products across virtually all market segments.  Bobby brings to AMP a wealth of experience managing engineering teams in the areas of Robotics, IP Surveillance and Communications systems. This unique combination of engineering and marketing makes him ideally suited to the dual role of helping our customers rapidly achieve their embedded video design goals and assuring our technical roadmap is aligned with the emerging market needs.”
