Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with Elan Group to manufacture and install 16 LED displays throughout Place Vendome Mall in Doha, Qatar. The largest display lights up the main entrance to the property and highlights the 2022 installation.
“The new LED displays provide an element of excitement that enhances the experience of visiting Place Vendome Mall and gives brands a unique opportunity to engage with luxury shoppers and create interest in their products,” said Jaber Al Ansari, Elan Group CEO. “We have received tremendous demand from advertisers to showcase their brands on the screens, indicating that, together with Daktronics, we have hit the mark with the look and versatility we wanted for this project and our stakeholders.”
The outdoor display wraps around the corner of the building and measures a total of 24.96 meters high by 13.76 meters wide. It captures the attention of people passing by and connects with them as they enter the mall, sharing advertising and promotional messages for tenants. This display features 10-millimeter pixel spacing and incorporates industry-leading environmental protection ensuring it operates as expected in all forms of weather.

Stepping inside the mall, a large link bridge display engages visitors with images and messaging to promote tenants and hosted events. This display measures 1.5 meters high by 7 meters wide and features a tighter 3.9-millimeter pixel spacing to deliver crisp, clear imagery to people in the space. Other 3.9-millimeter displays will be installed throughout the mall at other link bridges, the food court and at the Novo Cinema.
The digital nature of these displays allows them to show scheduled content or to change their messaging at a moment’s notice to promote timely messaging for the mall and its tenants.
