An example of EasyCast in action at the 2012 Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit.

The Imago Group has been appointed sole UK distributor by UbiCast, the French developer of lecture capture and online training systems. UbiCast is a new vendor to the UK, providing a solution for the growing market in lecture and conference capture. Imago, which has been successfully marketing the UbiCast range in France, believes that it offers the mix of features, performance and price to appeal to UK customers.

UbiCast takes a different approach to presentation/lecture capture and webcasting. The EasyCast product range spans the entire process of rich media creation, editing and sharing (and analytics) with highly automated capture appliances and a WebTV portal for storing and streaming content.

Common applications include corporate training and communications and eLearning in education establishments, but the solution is applicable to any location in which presentations are being made and important information is being imparted.  That information is recorded, organised, made searchable and distributed, live or on-demand, on the Internet or through an intranet.

UbiCast’s technology is already used by clients such as the California-based Linux Foundation to record its worldwide conferences, Total Oil and Alcatel-Lucent for internal training, Euronext for external communications and major French universities such as La Sorbonne for lecture capture.
