ViewSonic Europe has introduced its new PJD8 series, including features like dual pen interactivity and advanced connectivity functionality. The four new projector models of the series are the PJD8353s, PJD8653ws, PJD8333s and PJD8633ws.
ViewSonic’s new ultra-short throw projector series is equipped with a Crestron LAN controller which lets IT administrators remotely control and manage multiple projectors from their workstations, while AMX Device Discovery certification allows for easier integration. For maximum flexibility, the 2500 to 3000 lumen projectors are available in two different solutions – the 53 line for enhanced interactivity and the 33 line for Advanced Connect, and come with a mobile app for smartphone and tablet functionality and PC-less presentations.
Advanced Connect technology on the PJD8633ws and PJD8333s make possible the wireless streaming of content from PCs, Macs, Smartphone’s and tablets while enabling remote control capabilities. Further advanced features are wired and wireless LAN display, USB display, a 3D Blu-ray ready HDMI connection and PC-less presentation functionality. For collaboration options the PJD8333s and PJD8633ws come with Live Cam and Live Draw to achieve greater engagement, the projection screen can be split into 4 small screens to simultaneously present different content.
Utilising reflective mirror technology, the WXGA DLP ® PJD8653ws and XGA DLP® PJD8353s can be mounted above an interactive white board or wall for the projection of an image up to 110”. Paired with an optional interactive package (PJ-PEN-003) with IR camera module, use up to two interactive pens at a time to digitally write, draw and annotate on images, then save content as JPEG files to circulate via email.
“When it comes to ultra-short throw projector solutions, it is common that manufacturers will offer either reflective mirror technology or direct projection technology, but we feel it is important to offer our customers both,” said Joss Kaldenberg, Product Marketing Manager for ViewSonic Europe Ltd.
All new PJD8 series projectors will be available across Europe, Turkey and Russia, and come with a three-year limited parts and labour and one-year lamp warranties. The PJD8653ws and PJD8353s will be available from mid-March.
